  • This two-handed ASL sign is produced as follows:
    1. Move both hands from the sides toward the center so the wrists cross each other in the following posture.
    2. Posture the nondominant hand in the “A” handshape about half an arm’s length in front of the center of the trunk (typically with the upper arm hanging straight down from the shoulder, the elbow bent at a right angle, and the forearm pointing diagonally ahead from the elbow), nondominant palm facing up. Posture the dominant hand in the “A” handshape at the nondominant wrist, dominant palm facing up.
    3. Move both hands apart toward the sides while opening the fingers and thumb to the following posture.
    4. Posture the nondominant hand in the “5” handshape about half an arm’s length in front of the shoulder, nondominant palm facing up. Posture the dominant hand in the “5” handshape about half an arm’s length in front of the shoulder, dominant palm facing up.
    5. Hold both hands still briefly.
